Bury St Edmunds wedding photographers at All Saints Hotel
Andy and Jodie tied the knot in September and had the most beautiful Wedding at All Saints Hotel in Bury St Edmunds.
I first met Andy and Jodie in the summer of 2020 as they had booked me for a maternity session. I knew straight away they were people we would work well with. They are both kind, considerate, compassionate and down to earth people. Despite generally being camera shy, they absolutely rocked their maternity shoot. I then had the privilege of photographing their newborn shoot when their little girl arrived. When they asked us if we were able to shoot their wedding, naturally, we were delighted.
They decided to split their day up, to make it easier on them as a family. Their daughter is only 2 and they really wanted her to enjoy the day. They had their ceremony and meal with close family and friends during the week and a beautiful Tipi reception for everyone that weekend. We love it when our couples follow their own vision for their day and steer away from tradition!
Suffolk Wedding Venue
Their ceremony went perfectly and the weather was glorious. They looked absolutely incredible and beamed the whole day. The schedule went like clockwork. The staff at All Saints Hotel and the Wedding planner were working hard as usual. They really do make such an effort to make their clients feel looked after. They are also amazing to work with from our perspective too. The food was absolutely beautiful and meticulously planned. We cannot praise them enough!
Speeches followed the meal and had us both in stitches! Andy delivered a heartfelt and beautiful speech like an absolute pro and then his best man stepped up to the plate! He caused quite a stir! He tried very hard to take all the credit for Andy and Jodie getting together, though his claim was contested strongly by Jodie's bestie Sally! Despite there being some question over the truth of his speech, we thought it was rather brilliant! We did hear he bought her a lot of drinks later in the evening to make up for it!
All Saints Hotel recommended florist Sally's Floral Studio
As it happens, Sally, is an award winning florist and although she didn't quite get to claim full credit for the happy couple, she definitely gets credit for their incredible flowers. What she created for them was breathtaking. She put her heart and sole into making the hotel and the tipi look spectacular and if your reading this blog....Please pause and give her a well deserved clap! We've worked with her on many occasions and she never fails to deliver.
After some portraits out on the course with our sensational couple we headed off to prep for round two at the weekend.
Swan Tipi's
Part two was every bit as wonderful! Jodie got to step into her exquisite dress one more time and wow all their guests. Everyone waited in the Tipi and delightedly cheered as they made their grand entrance. It was cosy and intimate in the tipis. Guests enjoyed freshly made pizza and the most dreamy chips we have ever eaten. That's right. Chips can be dreamy!
We were mostly taking candids of everyone chatting away and then we had a bit of a play with the smoke bombs! I'm not sure we've ever laughed so much whilst trying to take photos! Maid of Honour Jo had a failed bomb and heroically ran across the uneven hard field in her stiletto heels to grab a new one. It was so comical all thought of romantic imagery went out the window and the crazy wedding party ended up having a dance off with their smoke bombs! It's a memory Andy and Jodie will never forget and one of the best parts of their day! They laughed so much!
