On Friday we kicked off our double wedding weekend at Hockwold Hall with the lovely Sarah and David. They had postponed their first wedding date last year, due to pesky covid, so we were excited to see them finally saying I do! The morning was very calm and relaxed. The girls got ready super efficiently up in the barn whilst listening to classic wedding tunes! When the bedrooms were ready, we shifted across to the main house for the final finishing touches. Once she was ready, our radiant bride made her way down the stairs to meet her super proud Dad.

Sarah loves horses so it was quite fitting that she had chosen to arrive at the church by horse and carriage. She was in her element! The weather couldn't have been better for a carriage ride. Blue skies and white fluffy clouds made for a dreamy backdrop when capturing her grand arrival.

David looked elated to see his beautiful bride walking up the aisle with a very proud Dad. The ceremony was lovely and led by Revd Sharron, who was very friendly. She made every effort to get the young best man involved and put him at ease. She even took a moment to grab a selfie with the couple before sending them out as husband and wife.

Before we left the church, a few of the guests were prepared with confetti so we organised them ready for the shot. We didn't think they had enough packs to warrant a walking confetti aisle, so we arranged them around our happy couple, ready to throw. We swear those boxes were confetti Tardis' as what followed can only be described as a wild confetti storm!

The reception at Hockwold Hall

Back at the venue, guests enjoyed a pleasant, relaxed afternoon. Some of them too relaxed! Whilst taking the formal family photos, one of the little guests slept through his big moment! We think we was recharging, ready for more fun on the bouncy castle. Charlie, we applaud your iron clad resolve to avoid the photos but your family outsmarted you!

After their delicious hog roast dinner, David and Sarah joined us in the gardens for more portraits. We couldn't resist sneaking round to the animal enclosures where Sarah made friends with the Meerkats, who seemed quite chuffed to be part of the big day! After meeting the animals we moved on to make the most of the beautiful light. They rocked their photos and pretty soon it was time to head in for the evening festivities. On the dance floor, David beamed as he led Sarah in their first dance. The father daughter dance followed and had everyone holding back the tears! I have to say it was the groomsman dancing with his Mum that got me right in the feels! I couldn't help wondering if one day, my little boy would want to dance with me at a wedding!
