Why Reymerston Hall is a fantastic venue for a rainy day…

Living in England, we all know you cannot rely on the weather to be predictable, that’s to be certain! So when searching for your venue, make sure that you are as equally in love with the inside as you are the outside. Ryan and Rachael did just that, when they decided on the epically stunning Reymerston Hall. A jewel of a wedding venue hidden in Norfolk.

Although rain was the last thing we thought would happen on their May wedding, it certainly poured on Ryan and Rachael’s wedding morning. On arrival, Sally and I quickly retreated into the sanctity of Reymerston Hall to find our bride and her girls getting ready busily upstairs.

A place to get ready!

Upstairs is a beautiful, secluded bridal prep room that has been specifically designed so that bridal parties have a spacious place to get ready. This lovely space overlooks the dining area, so you can take a peek at the ongoings while you hide away upstairs.

Space for your guests!

Reymerston Hall has brilliant grounds that is for certain, which makes hosting after your ceremony easy on a stunning summers day. However, it also lends a host of equally brilliant rooms on those very British rainy days, to keep everyone entertained and dry. Unlike some popular venues, Reymerston is just as spacious inside as it is outside and decorated stylishly with a light airy feel, while still remaining in keeping with the building itself. No gaudy red walls and brown carpets here folks!

Those all important couple shots!

We had to think on our toes for Ryan and Rachael for their shots, as not only was it wet, but it was quite chilly. We took a moment of opportunity and rushed them outside whilst it was lightly spotting with rain, to make the most of the grounds and the beautiful, iconic doorway at Reymerston. This area provided a beautiful location to showcase Rachael's incredible dress without getting it utterly filthy before the evening. The dress deserved to be in the spotlight, not just because it was stunning but because it was a labour of love! Their seamstress had to make a lot of adjustments as it was a one of kind dress and to do so, she had to unstitch every crystal and bead by hand to take in the material and then restitch them back on. Round of applause here....

A little later in the evening we snuck away to a few secluded nooks in the building and as you’ll see from the peeks below, they made stunning backdrops for their portraits.

When you look around your venue, think where you could see yourself having your photos done if the weather is not on your side. Are you still in love with your venue?

Having now officially shot at Reymerston Hall, we can confirm that it is as stunningly beautiful inside as it outside and you will not be disappointed!
