Your Wedding Guests

After the big “C” word hit, weddings have become more valuable events to everyone involved. Having our families and friends close to us is more important than ever on these crucial days and our couples are spending more time investing on their loved ones and how to keep them entertained! This blog is a list of cool, creative ideas on how to keep your wedding guests entertained

Did someone say Hocus Pocus?

You heard us! On the face of it we know that the thought of a magician at your wedding seems a little corny - you’re thinking white fluffy bunnies and being sawn in half right?

However, our eyes have been totally opened to the idea of magicians to truly entertain your wedding guests. We met the super talented Luke Clough this year at The Riverside Hotel, who rocked up and blew Fern and Leyton’s guests minds. He joined us after the ceremony with his quick wit and cards tricks and stayed with us through until dinner to do table magic for everyone.

The pictures from these encounters were brilliant, not only did they bring everyone together but to have such genuine joy, shock and complete happiness to capture was brilliant.

Bring the Party to Your Kids!

Kids at weddings is always a big yes! They’re fun and goofy and know how to bring smiles to the sternest of guests. But we know that wedding days can feel long for them and things can get a little boring for them in the evenings before the dancing kicks in.

Queue! Kids party entertainers! A fantastic way to utilise your dance floor before you’re ready for the first dance. Gina and Phil had a host of kids to keep amused, so Gina organised for the kids to have their own private party at The Boathouse, before their first dance.

The children were flooded with balloon animals and swords and were invited to play hilarious games that kept those smiles firmly on their faces. We definitely couldn’t help ourselves but laugh along and capture the action as it happened. This idea is a definite keeper for us!

Outdoor Games!

An ever growing popular addition to so many of our couples over the last couple of years. Suitable for all ages and a great way to bring your friends and families together.

If you’re planning a late spring or summer wedding, adding games like giant Jenga, Beer Pong and Croquet can really set the mood for your wedding afternoon. Everyone can get involved and it’s always so fun to capture those real emotions and moments.

When the days are long and hot, it can be easy for afternoons to fall flat. Keep your guests entertained and focused on making really wonderful moments together. We had a fantastic couple of outdoor game set ups this year at Bruisyard Hall and Haughley Park Barn.

Let's Make a Little Music!

Music entertainment for your wedding guests will always be a massive hit. Music is something that can really bring everyone together.

More and more of you have opted to invite fantastic talents to serenade your guests into the evening. A truly memorable moment we had this year was at Joe and Kirstie’s wedding at Bruisyard, where Alton Wahlberg sang before dinner started and got everyone up on their feet for a very spirited version of Sweet Caroline. People were up dancing, holding hands and singing their hearts out and it truly brought so much joy to the afternoon.

We have also seen the trend of Singing Waiters swarming the Gram! If you don’t know what they are, we highly suggest you check them out. If you want to shock and please your guests, this idea is hilarious and perfect! It will liven up your wedding party for sure.

Bring the Games Inside!

Having an autumn/winter wedding and feeling a little sad you might miss out on outdoor games? It’s time to bring them inside! Think wedding indoor arcade. Perfect for the gamers, the kids and the competitive among you.

Jess and Aaron brought the fun to their guests during their chilly October wedding by hiring the brilliant lot at Wacky Booth. Everyone was completely invested in Air Hockey and Table Football and getting crazy in the photo booth. We love the reactions, especially the ones between Jess’s parents as Jess’s mum bested her husband well and truly at air hockey. Safe to say Jess and Aaron have won our winter hearts at keeping their wedding guests entertained.

We hope you got some great tips from us and our wonderful couples. If you’re planning your wedding and have more cool ideas on how to keep your guests entertained, drop us a message! We’d love to hear from you.

We are still taking bookings for 2023 and 2024!
